Project No.1 - Wasted trips to the Storeroom to fetch Oil Absorbents

The Problem that was set for us...
With oil spills and leaky machinery occurring at points A, B, C, D and E in a big factory staff would have to walk the length of the shopfloor to fetch Oil Absorbents from the Storeroom. As no one was really in charge of ordering the oil absorbents the storeroom was sometimes empty or awaiting a delivery.

This is a clear waste of their time for a trained operative to be away from their machine/area. Sometimes managers found staff doing the complete opposite and they didn't even bother going to the Storeroom at all and would just leave the mess on the floor!

The Project Solution...
After a site survey with Censol personnel a plan was drawn up to have seven Absorbent Stations installed free and managed once a week by Censol.

Our personnel visited the site and would replenish any products used and put these usages and costings into a chart showing what products were used in what part of the shopfloor.

Now the trained engineers can get on with their job and know that all the wipers and oil absorbents they need are within reaching distance in the Absorbent Station and because Censol are managing and replenishing them when needed they know they will never run out.
